This group of commercial spaces was the home to a Durham landmark business, The Ivy Room.  When that business closed after many long years of success, the building owner asked us to renovate the buildings in an historically correct manner to create homes for new tenants.  We restored and reproduced the original architectural details of the building, while giving it an updated appearance with new awnings, and an updated infrastructure with new plumbing and electrical services and fixtures. This project was given an Architectural Conservation Award by the Durham Historical Preservaton Society.
