When people live close together they still need privacy, daylighting and views, spatial definition and a sense of individuality within a larger community.

Our multifamily projects incorporate the same principles of design within a denser setting as do our single family procects.  We articulate the individual units, so that each has some special character, while providing a unifying style to create an identity for the whole project.

We work to create community spaces which foster social interaction in contrast with the privacy and sanctuary of  individual dwellings.

Multifamily dwellings can use space and construction methods and materials efficiency without sacrificing quality or a sense of one’s own home.  The outdoors can be shared to the benefit of all residents and the community environment.
